Autumn in Paganella and the Dolomites is a slow experience that engages all senses: the sound of the leaves cracking under your boots, your eyes trying to take in all the tree colors, the smell of the forest and the grapes, the taste of the produce harvested from our land and the opportunity to touch the work of artisans.
Autumn between Paganella and the Dolomites
AT A SLOWER PACE
In autumn, with the mountains all to yourselves, you can enjoy your passions and discover new pleasures. A glass of Teroldego wine, a walk amid the sounds of the forest, a journey into the past among the vaults of the villages or in the castles.
ON FOOT, BY BIKE, WITH A CARABINER
This is one of the favourite times of year for the locals: few people on the trails and the last few days of sunshine to stock up on vitamin D before the snow arrives. So have your waterproofs, shoes and equipment ready.
EVENTs
In autumn, we taste wines and local products. Or we meet directly at the village festivals to celebrate the end of summer and anticipate the arrival of mulled wine at the Christmas markets.
Cozy season tips:
- Set aside some free time and allow yourself to be guided by the slowing rhythms of nature.
- Explore our destination by car: at this time of year, many car parks are free. Public transport, on the other hand, favours schoolchildren getting to and from school when it comes to the timetable.
- Check here for the opening hours of restaurants and mountain huts and book our typical dish: tortel di patate.
- Check the weather forecast so that you bring appropriate clothing. We recommend hiking shoes and dressing in multiple layers.
- Bring some entertainment for the hours of darkness since evenings are generally quiet.
- Follow good mountain etiquette and enjoy the mountains with caution.
