When we wake up, we open the windows and choose what we want to look at: the Brenta Dolomites on one side, the lake we’re all known for on the other side.

The Brenta started everything. At the end of the 19th century, mountaineers from all over Europe gathered to ascend the Dolomites and conquer Cima Tosa and Campanil Bas. We were farmers but then became hoteliers, mountain guides, and shopkeepers. Many hotels, mountain huts, and local shops are still run by the same families which started things all those years ago.

If you’re from Molveno, then the lake is part of who you are. Our children take their first steps on the lake’s shores. We head out on our boats to fish or admire the sunset. We take Sunday walks around the entire lake.

The village centre overlooks the lake. We like meeting on the cobblestone streets to catch up over a glass of Spritz Aperol – just like you do during the summer evenings.
