In Spormaggiore we’re farmers, teachers, bricklayers, cooks, and electricians.
We help each other out during our downtime. We volunteer at: the fire brigade, the Italian emergency service, the Youth Centre, the Youth Centre, the Alpini, and the local tourist office. When we organise events in the square, the local football club and mountain rescue volunteers also chip in by cooking.
Our children grow up surrounded by nature. We’re surrounded by forests and apple orchards.Some locals have made a job out of it, and welcome you to their holiday farmstead, where you’ll be able to taste the ingredients harvested from their lands in the meals they serve.
We help the Belpark animal park’s mission to protect and research local wildlife. It’s home to animals saved from mistreatments or which cannot live in the wild due to accidents. If you don’t make a sound and, with a bit of patience and some luck, you’ll be able to get close enough to admire them.
